Chocolate Chip Cookies
Create delicious chocolate chip cookies that are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Ingredients
Butter – 1/2 cup
Granulated white sugar – 1/2 cup
Brown sugar – 1/2 cup
Egg – 1 large
Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
All purpose flour – 1 1/4 cup
Cornstarch – 1 tbsp
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Semi sweet chocolate chips – 1 1/2 cups
Crushed toasted pecans – 1 cup
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, add half a cup of butter at room temperature. Add half a cup of granulated white and half a cup of brown sugar to the butter and mix with a spatula until well combined to form a creamy mixture. Make sure to cream the sugar and butter together by pressing against the sides of the bowl.
2. Add one egg at room temperature and one tsp of vanilla extract and whisk until well blended.
3. Next sift together the dry ingredients and add to the mixture. Combine one and a quarter cup of flour, one tbsp of cornstarch, half a tsp of baking soda and half a tsp of salt. Sift into the mixture and combine until blended.
4. Add one and a half cup of semi sweet chocolate chips and one cup of toasted crushed pecans into the mixture. Combine well.
5. Form small balls with two tbsp of the mixture. Place in a baking sheet over a tray and refrigerate for an hour to help set the dough.
6. After one hour, lay out the balls into a baking sheet over a tray leaving two inches of space in each side to allow the dough to expand as it bakes. Pre-heat oven to 325 F.

Place a piece of chocolate in the center of each ball and bake for a molten chocolaty center.

Bake the cookies for 15 – 18 minutes at 325 F and enjoy!
Cheers!
