Garlic – 2 cloves
Mushrooms – 300 gm
Heavy whipping cream – 3 cups

Salt – 1 tsp

Instructions

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of oil. Add 250 gm of spaghetti and boil according to the instructions given in the package.

Wash and pat dry 1 lb of shrimp with paper towel. Marinate with half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of paprika and a quarter teaspoon of black pepper powder. Mix well.

Finely chop half of a medium onion and two garlic cloves. Slice 300 grams of mushrooms, removing half of the bottom portion of the stem.

Place a large pan on your stove over medium heat. Add one tablespoon of oil and let it heat up. Then add the marinated shrimps, making sure they do not overlap. Fry each side for 3 minutes then remove from heat and set aside.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain the water but do not pour cold water on the pasta. Set aside.

On the same pan over medium heat, add one-third cup of unsalted butter. Make sure to coat the pan with the butter, then add the chopped onions, stirring occasionally. After a minute, add the chopped garlic.

Once the onions have browned, add the sliced mushrooms. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and have turned brown. This should take about 4 – 5 mins.

Add three cups of heavy whipping cream to the pan. Once it starts to bubble, add three-quarter cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix well and cook for about a minute.

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of black pepper powder. Mix well and reduce the heat to low.

Add the pasta and shrimps and mix to coat with the sauce. Once your pasta & shrimps are well coated, turn the stove off. Your Shrimp Alfredo is ready to be served.
